I saw this posted on Facebook. I can provide contact info:

A man by the name Mr. G. W. Davis in Houston, who used to work for US Air, sent me a framed unit photo of Company D-1 from 1974-1975 that was left on a flight. He asked if it was possible to help find the owner.
Someone left it on the flight 10-12 years ago and the airline has had no luck locating the owner. The back of the photo says it was framed in San Angelo by Elliott’s Nook and Cranny.

I am ‘assuming’ this photo was a gift, or a left over remnant of a past Ag from this unit taking it home. I could be wrong.

Frederick Martin was the Commander, Terry Royder was the XO, and Chuck Ellison was First Sgt. I am hoping you can post this somewhere and help locate the owner of this photo. If someone contacts you about this lost photo tell them to contact me and I’ll be glad to mail it, or they can come get it.

If you have any other idea on how to locate the owner let me know.

Using "Find an Aggie", there are two former members of D-1 from the classes of 1975 to 1978 still living in San Angelo.

Long shot, but they are Dale Hahn '77 and Franklin Higgins '78.

I know several of the folks in the photo, including the late Les Abernathy '77.

I'll send Hahn and Higgins emails through the AFS web site.

Hahn email went through, Higgins did not. Problem with AFS site, I guess.

Through Google search, the owner of Nook & Cranny passed away in 2004. Was hoping the shop would still be open, but it seems that it isn't.

Also emailed Martin. Perhaps someone will respond.

You're correct, but DevilD doesn't have stars or an email address in his profile. We'll just have to wait until he finds it.

The problem wouldn't be with the AFS Site. The AFS depends upon former students to keep their info updated & current. They don't have the capability or manpower to verify demographics on every former student still living. That would be impossible. So the Association relies on individuals & clubs to maintain info. Which is why it's so important to update your info if you move, your phone # or email changes or anything else.

ETA: See if you can contact either the Corps of Cadets Association, they might have info or the San Angelo Club leadership.

While I agree the former students are responsible for maintaining current addresses, the AFS is responsible for when the site fails to send, which is what happened.

One of my fish buds has sent out the message to all the Devils we have e-mails for. Hopefully we find the owner.
