Good evening all,

My time has sadly come to an end after 21 years of service in the USAF due to medical conditions beyond my control. I didn't graduate from Texas A&M but have been a 12th man donor and season ticket holder for many years. I have always been a diehard fan and have traveled all around the country to follow my beloved Aggies play. I would have gone to school there but my father got diagnosed with brain cancer my junior year and we couldn't afford to send me to school. I Also needed to help him out a lot. He passed at the age of 40 and I decided I needed to just get away from everything so I joined the Air Force.

Time has flown by and now I need a contact to see about possibly having a flag flown over Kyle Field during a game. I will use that flag during my retirement ceremony to fold and keep the rest of my life. I would much rather have this than have a flag flown Over congress anyway. I am an Aggie at a heart and always will be. Any help you can give would be great. If you have more questions about my situation please call me 662-386-9100. God Bless. SMSgt Brian Bailey

Well, would you want a smaller flag that you see around the top edge of Kyle? Or would you want the large one that goes on the main pole?

If you want the large one, your best bet would be to contact the Corps Colorguard, since they are the ones that could fly your flag and return it to you after a game. In order to get in contact with the Corps Colorguard I would contact the office of the commandant (http://corps.tamu.edu/contact-us) or the Sanders Corps Center (http://corpscenter.tamu.edu/index.php/sanders-corps-center/about). Explain your situation and ask for contact information for the cadet in charge of the color guard. Alternatively, ask to speak with the CTO advisor for the color guard, or the assistant commandant for operations. One of those folks will point you in the right direction.

If you want a smaller flag, I'm honestly not sure who is in charge of the smaller flags atop Kyle Field. But you could probably contact the 12th Man Foundation and work that angle through them.

Hope that helps.

Commander Dulke on commandants staff was in charge of retiring all the flags on campus, I'm not sure if he still works there. When I graduated I asked if he had any Texas flags and he gave me a 4x6 foot Texas flag that he had just retired. He may be able to help. 509th may be able to give more input

662 area code, are you currently at Columbus? I just PCSed from there in June, probably honked and gave you a gig'em.

Yup. Here at Columbus! I was the Career Assistance advisor for the wing. Now I work in the education office while my medical board is processing. I am sure our paths crossed.

Commander Dulke was still there when I graduated in May. Should still be there working in the Trigon basement.
