Best known for his signature announcement during Aggie Band half-time performances at football games, Lt. Col. Jay O. Brewer '81 has dedicated the past 33 years of his life to the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band. As the senior associate director of the Aggie Band, Brewer has seen opportunities evolve for students participating in musical organizations across campus. To answer the demands of a growing student population of musicians and advance the mission of the Music Activities Department, plans for a new Music Activities Center on Duncan Field are in the works.
