Saw a pic of an old friend in the corps wearing a neck medal and don't know what it is. Just curious. It's a circular medal hanging from a red & white ribbon, a horse facing the left shoulder of the wearer, one front leg up the way a horse would prance for dressage. The horse looks to be mounted but can't tell for sure. The horse is also off center to the upper left of the medal. It also looks like there's writing around the perimeter of the medal.
I've searched the interwebs and can't find anything.
Any ideas???

Probably the Order of St. George. It's the Armor/Cavalry Association performance award.

Among the coolest awards, brings you that much closer to being a modern knight*. I wish it was more like Golden Spurs, combat knots, & CABs than an award given to basically all senior O-3s. But I like it either way.

*I was & remain pretty lame when it comes to all things Army Cav.
