Integration. The horror.
quote:From what I recall of D-1, at least when I was there, they were ok with putting minimal effort into recruiting and then convincing a handful of fish to join their outfit during FOW Sunday. Perhaps aiming for more than 4-6 fish a year would've made it more difficult to integrate.
Piece of **** Ramirez disbanded my outfit and reorganized it an integrated outfit.

Anyone care to guess which outfit I think was the best?

Integration is a big change which like any major transition effectively kills much of what makes an outfit. Whether you think intigrated units are superior, equal, inferior, or unquantifiably different it is a massive alteration which is detrimental to tradition.
quote:Seems like the guy is trying to screw up his own career. But I agree, it ain't right to help him do so.
You try to screw up a guy's career and then say "relax...internet"?
You are an epic chode.

I will make sure to let the IFC, NCAA, NFL, NBA, MLB, Regiment, Group, ect... know.
Also for what it's worth a cadet joining today and branching Infantry or Armor could still probably go there entire career with out serving in a co-ed line unit. Even the most liberal projections don't see either branch ever exceeding 7% female. For obvious reasons the Army is looking to create units with a "critical mass" of females (at least initially), which means even at 7% it will be the minority of line units with women.
quote:Quite frankly I didn't even know they were all male. Know absolutely nothing about them or any cadets in either outfit.
Our son will be Class of 2020 and has no desire to consider integrated outfit. He's weighing D-2 and B-2. He's a Construction Science major, military focus to commission active army. Can you give any thoughts on B-2?
