As many of you all may have read on this message board, a Marine, Trident 88, posted asking about how to put his old Marine uniforms to good use.

Just wanted to update everyone and give credit to Trident 88 for his selflessness in helping me out with these uniforms (saved me A LOT). Just goes to show how awesome the Aggie Network is!

Not to officers. You get an initial issue, generally during training, and then an annual uniform allotment. The allotment isn't even close to enough to cover new uniforms for a 2LT.

I think I got a one time $400 allowance. Could have probably covered most of my uniform costs 20 years ago. Covered less than a 1/4 of it now, and I was cheap and only got the minimum I needed at the time.
