I am in the process of building a scale model representation of the M1126 Stryker ICV. I see online where Strykers that served in Iraq were modified from their base armor to add some kind of slat armor to defeat RPGs. Can anyone with experience with Strykers comment on how prevalent this modification is? I am not sure of the time frame that I want to model this kit in, probably earlier 2000s. Any comments or ideas are more than welcome. Thanks in advance for your input!
