Thanks again for your prompt reply to my other question and I should have included this one, but here goes. Is there going to be a Corps trip to the DFW area for the Arkansas game and if so, does your office have any input with the athletic department and/or any other decision makers to prevent an 11am kickoff? If there is a Corps trip, and you need financial help for cadets to go to the game, count me in.

We are planning a Corps Trip to Ft Worth for the Southwest Classic Game vs Arkansas in Arlington on September 28th. The plan calls for a 9 am step off in downtown Ft Worth.

As we have done for the past 8 years, we will announce the step off and game time on social media, and will ask former students to help fund a cadet to attend the game for $50. Thanks to the generosity of former students and friends of the Corps, we have been able to have the entire Corps attend the game in Arlington 7 of the last 8 years.

We do not have any influence on game time. That decision is made by the television gods, and we have absolutely no say whatsoever on it. Unfortunately, if the Southwest Classic is played at 11 am - as it has been the last 2 years - then the march-in is cancelled, due to time constraints. What helps is if both teams are playing well and have good records, which makes the game more attractive for a late afternoon or evening kickoff - both of which are conducive to a march-in at Ft Worth that morning. But again, we have no influence whatsoever on game time for the Southwest Classic.

Thanks for your support of our Corps! Beat the hell outta Texas State!
