This sucks for a lot of people I know personally. And I have empathy for them because it took me a year to onboard to my current position.
After my clinical internship ended in December 2023 and passing all my licensing exams, I interviewed and was offered a job. January 2024 came and a hiring freeze happen during onboarding. Found another job in the meantime. Late July happen and funds came about, I had to re-interview for the same position and got another offer. Onboarding began again and started my actual job in December 2024.
This new hiring freeze is a complete blindside to people who already got a formal job offer and finished onboarding. One is a recently housed chronically homeless Veteran that is trying to get his life in order. He was supposed to start next week after we helped him navigate onboarding and boom, rescinded.
There are more that I know of.
Do y'all think this truly is a 90 day only freeze or these people screwed? Read below for another example.
