Rosie - Old Rasputin is my favorite stout. Be advised it is strong and pricey, but its damn near heaven in a bottle.

Rusty - definitely better from the tap. I fell in love with lhms when I lived 30 miles from the brewery.

In a bottle...I win

Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer is a lively, refreshing ale with a natural citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. This easy drinking American-style wheat beer has become our most popular offering, and the best-selling craft beer in the Midwest.

I like a lot of beers from Boulevard, although I haven't seem them in Texas too much. My family and I visited the brewery in Kansas City.

Did anyone get a chance to try the Buckin' Bock from Rahr? Every time I went to try it at Flying Saucer they were out.

That Rahr Winter Warmer is intense. Never had anything else like it. I had it once when I did the brewery tour.

I also love porters and stouts. Old Rasputin is good. I haven't had Kona Brewing Co.'s coffee porter or Real's. Must try. BJ's PM Porter and Tatonka Stout are both legit.

Also, this thread is greatness.

Randy,in my last photo, there is some "X33" a doppelbock that was brought back from Prague. It's strong, but good. If I could get some Ottakringer Helles or Budweiser Budvar Premium Dark Lager, I'd be all over it....

As for the Buckin' Bronc, I was just over at my parents house this morning and my dad has some of it in his fridge. Not bad at all.

...and Winter Warmer is good stuff, Whiskey Warmer is Heaven in a bottle

Love me some Sailing Santas

Whenever I make a trip over to MN I'm sure to pick up a few four packs of this if it's in season. I'd put it up against any DIPA in the country.

I live in Colorado (C Springs specifically).
Obviously, Colorado has sheetloads of Craft Breweries.
Our local one, here in C Springs, is Bristol Brewing Company.
It is FANTASTIC......all their beers.
So, when in Colorado, drop by & have a pint!.......and PM me first, I live within 10 minutes of the place.

Have to say.. looks like vast majority of these breweries are not in texas

Firestone with 3 wins in pale ale categories. Will have to keep my eye out.
Couple of texas brews in the winning circle as well.
Also, BJ's pumkin ale takes a silver..I remember liking it last season, will have to make an effort to get to bj's soon.

Firestone specializes in pale ales. Their brewer, Matt Bryndlson, is one hell of a brewer.

I'm looking forward to getting the Burton Baton, I haven't tried that one.

I picked up a Rogue Oatmeal Stout. Anyone vouch for that? Had a pretty good rating at Specs..
