I guess you have to sneak booze on? Or do they not care?
Never been on a cruise before but we've been thinking about it since they seem pretty easy with the kids.

2 bottles of wine or 6 pack of beer per adult is the standard.

When I last cruised, I kept the beer I brought for a single each night. We were concierge so I was drinking free bulleit bourbon most of the trip. Had to buy 1 or 2 each day since concierge lounge didn't open until like 3.

We brought a 6 pack of Yellow Rose and used concierge service for drinks in the evening. Port was Progresso, so we opted for a quick beer and stayed on the ship. Disney does a great job with families.

We stopped in Progreso back in 2020 (before the 'vid hit). There was a beer tour that we went on which took us to one brewery and several craft beer bars. Pretty fun side trip.

We are doing the Disney Cruise in February - any recommendations?

Every ship is a little different. The beer is definitely a meh, but they do have some craft options. I think there is a drink package, but haven't looked into it.

If you can, get a brunch reservation to Palo. The dinner is good, but the brunch is awesome. Go in hungry!

The nice thing about the cruises is that characters are wandering around all the time and you don't have to wait forever like you do in the park.

Shoot me a msg if you have any questions. We've done a few now with our kids being in the prime disney age.

So what are we drinking this fine Christmas Eve Eve? I'm currently having a little Sailing Santa and watching Die Hard 2.

SailingSanta huh?… doesn't sound terrible. I'll have to ask my buddy who was a brewer for St Arnold if he has heard of that one.
Anyway, back to the question…. Had an errand to run in Tyler and swung by the Outback on the way out of town. Had a Foster's with my Bloom petals prior to my Ribeye and Shiraz.

To my understanding it was originally something people came up with on their own. Then they bottled it and sold it for a few years before stopping. They even made a post when they stopped that it was just 1:1 Elissa to Christmas Ale. They did a limited canning of it this year but I was never clear on if it was a brewery only release or hit distro at all.

There was also Rocket Santa which was Endeavor/Christmas Ale until they stopped brewing Endeavor.

I think I'm going to stop by HEB today and get some Saint Arnold Christmas Ale and Elissa IPA to make Sailing Santa's.

Christmas Eve beer. Unfortunately not my favorite (there's something I don't like but can't really place it), but since I held on to it for so long and through 3 or 4 moves... it will be consumed.

Just got back from HEB. Wasn't a mad house, but they didn't have either Christmas Ale or Elissa IPA. So I grabbed 6 pack of Saint Arnold Eclipse IPA and a 4 pack of Clown Shoes Snow on the Maple Tree.

I've spent the whole damn day at DFW airport. Drank a couple Deep Ellum IPAs and a Rahr Dadgum. Also two glasses of wine with lunch and two bloody Marys on the flight from Tyler early this morning. Starting to get nappish.
