Funny thing is I have multiple bottles of all the other allocated… toasted rye and bourbon and both 10 yrs and barrel strength bourbon but have never had any luck with the barrel strength rye, looking forward to cracking it

Right now im changing up my people, places and things. So being around a bunch of bourbon isn't a great idea right now. Perhaps one day I'll return in a different capacity. Especially for the fundraisers.

I've been searching and it sounds like it may be hitting Texas end of this month. Seeing it in the Midwest recently.

They've been here in Tennessee for over a month now. I picked one up for MSRP $200, it's fantastic, but I'd say not as good as the distillery series one I grab from the distillery last spring. I'm glad I bought it but won't be getting a second at that price. There are several regular double oak store pics that are better than this batch of double double

FYI. Spec's off I-45 in Ennis (Exit 255) has 1.75L bottles of Weller Special Reserve.

Gotta be careful with these types of websites. There's a lot of scams going around where you have these "online retailers" that look legit and are no more than a carefully crafted Shopify store impersonating a legitimate business that doesn't have an online presence.
Reason I mention this is because I was looking for some Eagle Rare a couple months ago and tried searching locally in Houston think I'd have some luck with the mom and pops. Ended up coming across a fair deal at secondary and it was close to work. I stopped by with the Address listed and it was a cigar shop without any liquor component.
Turns out they never had an actual website so it was easy for this scammer to impersonate. No telling how many people they got before. That being said... Have your guard up and vet these places.

Need a birthday gift idea for my dad. He's a big Jack fan, hates Garrison brothers and thinks the entire Pappy line is too sweet. If that helps with recommendations.

Just my opinion, but I've always felt that the toasted bourbons are on the sweeter side. I would recommend a Jack Daniels Barrel Proof (bourbon or rye) since he's a fan of Jack. Maybe even a Wild Turkey Rare breed (bourbon or rye).
