Anyone had the Makers Riddle Me This release? Saw it at specs today but can't find much about it online in my quick search.
Probably just the name of a Specs private barrel/store pick. The ones i have tired were all pretty decent. maybe a bit over priced but if you like Maker's they are fund to try.
I wondered the same, but doesn't have the same label as some of the other specs private picks. Has a label like The Heart or Keepers release. I think Keepers just released a couple months ago, so would be surprised by another special release like that, but sure looked like it.

I think they just changed the bottle and labels on the private selects to match the wood finishing series bottles.
Oh i know, just logistics of getting us all together at once is a tall order with schedules, but the bottle will not be a shelf queen for years on end. Gonna be fun to walk in and make everyone uncomfortable saying 'I brought the KoK'

What's a good price for standard Blanton's at this time? I have found it for $96.

That's about standard at retail now, unfortunately.
A GOOD price for Blanton's for me would be about $60. But yes, $90-$100 seems pretty standard these days.

Was finally able to pick up a bottle of the JD ASM today. It is very similar to the 2021 special release and not in a good way. Drinks way too young, too grain forward and is way too hot of 90 proof. The Sherry helps balance it out some but it really could use some more aging. Not mad i bought it but won't buy any more.
If anyone is looking to pick this up go for the Stranahan's Sherry Cask instead. it is a better pour.

got a big fishing trip with college buddies this weekend and was able to find a bottle of eagle on the shelf for $65...probably over paid a little but its worth it for this trip.
What's 20 bucks if enjoying with enjoying with friends/family.

If wanting to try a good "entry" ASM, I would recommend Stranahan's Blue Peak or if you want more oak flavors Balcones Lineage is good for $35 (though the jump to 1 is worth it imo). A sleeper if you like Stouts would be sinister. I bought all of the bottles in SA but there are still a few at TW in Houston.
