Saw a thread from 7 years ago about the cheapest places in Aggieland to get a keg, and wanted to know if it's changed at all.

Appletree off Texas. Key of Bud/Bud Light will run you $52.50. Sometimes you can get a keg of Natural Light there for under $40. Be sure to tell the ladies that it is Michelob Light.

It depends on if you want volume or quality. For premium beers, Specs is the answer. For Keystone or Natty, call HEB/Kroger/Appletree and get pricing

During my time, 2001-2006, our go to was $40 kegs of Keystone Light at the Bryan Walmart. Bud/Miller/Coors was around $80-90.

Icehouse at Kroger back in 2001 - $55. Good times.

Appletree for Keystone Kegs! Ah memories...

Is this 2003?

I didn't even know appletree was still a thing.

Do Wal-Mart, HEB, or Krogers still sell kegs? Where is the best place to buy one in BCS now?

I haven't bought a keg in over 25 years. The places I bought back then were Krogers on Texas, Appletree, or JJs. RIP to all of them.

I've heard Brookshire brothers sells kegs.
