I would love to know how it works. I have a pretty large amount of points and have never got a call from Specs for anything.

1 store tells me to go online and add myself to a list and another says that you can't do it online and an employee has to add you to the list. Then the employees at that store don't want to do it.

Exactly the same in my experience. There is no "online" special website for that, I'm convinced the store just says that so people will stop asking.

You probably have to get through to a store manager to have any luck, and even then it might be a crapshoot.

Funny story. Some dude was upset he didn't get a bottle of Blanton's and "knew it was in the managers office". He reach out to Specs corporate about that store and the next day they no longer sold allocated items to regular customers, whole sale only.

He was very proud of what he did and posted screen shots of his emails. Everyone roasted him

Your local Specs should be able to help you get your name on lists for allocated items. Unless the process has changed they have to add you to each bottle one by one. It's definitely time consuming for both parties but obviously can be worth it. I would encourage you to go during non-busy hours. The employees have been very courteous and helpful to me in the past.

Store near the house has Blantons but wants $250 for it. Bought an Eagles Rare and a Calumet 15. He had a bottle of Colonel Taylor 1st and only Barrel Proof for $500+. Never even heard of it. Also had an Elijah Craig Cask strength and few others. All over $300

Edit to add he had a 1792 12 year old as well.

Anyone score a hazmat SJR from specs today?

Looking to finish the year with a couple bottles I missed.

ISO: SJR specs pick (over 140 proof), RR13, or EHBP
