Anyone ever try to recreate their Apple strudel? It's been a family tradition forever. But unfortunately we can't get one this year. Anyone have any thoughts on copy cat recipe?
Thanks!!

I made this recipe last year and it did not disappoint. It's was way better than Naeglins though so you might be disappointed

I was just there this past Saturday, but didn't try the strudel.

And they were out of the bratwurst kolaches. The cinnamon rolls were delicious.

I'm going to try Fido's recipe he provided. As a child, Mom would make strudel only during the holidays and she always did it when when my grandmother would visit so she could help with pulling that dough to get it thin and perfect. Moms now 85 and I'd love to have her bake it with me but I've asked and it was a hard no from her. She still makes a batch of kolaches every week for her mental well being and those are still damn good

Duh. Everyone knows real kolaches have kielbasa.

Leave it to the residence Kolache experts to leave out Boudain and Ham&Cheese
