My sister wants a set of pyrex measuring cups for Christmas. Apparently there is a worldwide shortage of pyrex measuring cups. After hunting all over the internet, I found them at Bed Bath and Beyond's online store and managed to place an order before they were out of stock, too.

They were packed by a poorly-trained monkey with NO padding between them and arrived broken.

Now they're out of stock, too.

Thanks for reading. Dear Diary, etc.

Try Anchor-Hocking instead. USA made, easy to find, aaaand if you can find the Fire King ones, they have cool mid-century branding.

I hate our Pyrex measuring cups. Liquids run down the side and drip everywhere if you try to pour slowly out of them. I bet someone who knows science and stuff can explain why. They suck though

The nozzle isn't sufficiently pointy to overcome the waters surface tension. Pointier nozzles, like on a coffee pot, can flow at much slower rates without dribbling down the side, but they're also much less durable. Pyrex has decided for durability over usability. Other brands made different design decisions.
