The one in CS across from Tower Point is trash. Super slow and something was wrong every single time we'd go. The one on Rock Prairie, however, is 100% nails. Always friendly, always correct, and never a longer wait than you'd expect.
100% accurate.

The Tower Point WB is just absolute garbage. Twenty minute wait in the drive thru (if you're lucky) and service is terrible. After my second mobile order in a row was screwed up royally, I gave up on this location. Worst fast food place I've ever encountered.

The one on Rock Prairie, however, is fabulous.

I don't know why people think Whataburger is or ever has been king. I much prefer five guys or another place that has more substantial burgers that are not run through a manufacturing line. I realize WB doesn't do the same thing as Mcdonald's, but in all honesty, Burger King is just as good if not better than WB.

Former Whataburger Director of Operations here. I managed the district that included Austin -Waco - College Station.

The Rock Prairie location is the best Whataburger in the District, hands down, no comparison. Customer service, restaurant cleanliness, food quality...they are by far the leaders. The GM there makes all the difference.

The Waco stores are the worst (Bryan and Giddings not far behind) and the Austin stores are hit and miss depending on location.

The Chick Fil A drive thru model is exemplary. WB, in the majority of locations, has never embraced the two line model. Additionally, they are uncomfortable with having employees taking orders outside. That's what it takes to be proficient in drive thru.

I'm not a native Texan...I think WB is good, not great. I haven't eaten at one since I left the company and I only miss, on occasion, the Patty Melt and the Lemon Pie (the old one before they changed suppliers).

The Sienna Plantation Whataburger is run by morons. It'll take 15 minutes to go in and just get a shake sometimes. There is a new location at 1092 and 6 that I haven't tried yet. Hopefully they're better.

We used to go to WB on a regular basis. Patty melt was my favorite but then tried Culver's patty melt. Went back to WB a couple months ago and tried again. Nope. Culver's still better and that includes the fries and o rings. Plus they have cheese curds.

I do like WBs jalapeno cheddar biscuits though.

The last two times I've had WB, it has tasted like they dumped the ENTIRE salt shaker onto the burgers. I am tolerant to salty food, but these instances were inedible. Briargrove loc.

Notice decline in quality for a while now.

Your experience and mine could not be any more opposite of each other.

I don't see what the draw is to Five Guys. My family likes it, so I will go at times with them. I get my burger different every time I go and it always taste just as bland as the last one no matter what I get on it. We've had 2 in our area, and one has shut down. The other is supposed to be shutting down from what I understand. I'll take Whataburger over Five Guys Burgers every day.

Same. I'm not impressed with their burger or dogs.

Their fries are good though and I always like peanuts on the table.

Culver's is solid. Hoping for more Houston area locations.

I got a honey butter chicken biscuit from WB today but subbed the jalapeno cheddar biscuit for the reg and now have another go-to.

Last two visits at same location (Missouri City) have resulted in being asked...."what did you order? when I get to the window after being in line for 15 minutes with only 4 or 5 cars in front of me. Then get home and order is not what I ordered. USED TO BE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO. Not anymore, will not spend another dime. If I want a chicken sandwich then it will be Chick Fil A. If it is a burger, then Five Guys. So sad.
Only crap Yelp review I ever left was during the 30+ minute wait at the WB off 423 in The Colony....only to have semi cold food and a messed up order. I feel your pain. Don't really go much anymore except on occasions. They take too damn long.

I had 5G for lunch actually. It was pretty good but it's also pretty pricey for fast food. I got mine "all the way" and added grilled jalapeno. I ordered my fries "Cajun style"... the seasoning was excellent. The one in Cedar Park closed months ago. I went to the Arboretum location in north Austin.

Edit: Checked my receipt. $17. That's seems steep for cheeseburger, fries and coke.

So write the company and B----, the one near me in Las Colinas used to suck and take forever. I sent a simple email to their contact line and it was fixed, along with receiving free coupons and a gift card.

They can't fix it if they don't know.

Good thing the CEO didn't answer your email and ask for more info. Everyone in TA would give you crap fo 5 years.

If you don't go to Popeyes for your chicken sandwich, you're doing it wrong.
Maybe some of us like to be able to go out for a meal without having to break out the kevlar first.

Every time I go to Popeyes in Austin I run into Aaron Franklin in line. He and I just crave chicken at the same time I guess

I travel around the state for business. The WB in Henderson, Texas is the best one around IMO. Hot fresh food, and very clean store.

Uh oh. I live in California and I'm always talking smack about In-N-Out and tell everyone to talk to me after they've had Whataburger (even though I've never actually had a Whataburger burger, I just feel like it's the Texan thing to do). Hopefully if they ever end up trying it they end up at a good Whataburger.

Came here for this. I don't really get how 5 Guys is a thing. The burgers aren't good enough to justify the price point nor the wait.

Whataburger is ok. It was never as good as everyone made it out to be. They had some good offerings you couldn't get elsewhere, but that was about it. Took my family there when we were back in Texas last and it was as "meh" as I remembered it was.

The one in my neighborhood used to be great but 6 months or so, I got a sausage biscuit that was cold. This happened twice. Will not go back.

A few years back Whataburger did manage to set an all-time drive-thru experience low by serving me a whataburger with no burger. Left the patties off!

When WHataburger is on, it is great. The problem is it can be wildly inconsistent. One trip will have a burger w/a good amount of S&P, fresh bun, a bit of grease - perfect.

The 2nd will have no S&P, cooked dry, and a bun starting to stale.

My experience w/Braums the past decade has been very consistent. Cooked until it is like eating a spoonful of peanut butter, and buns that disintegrate when you bite into it.
Staff - take out the trash.

Having lived in Cali for 15 years, I do love me some In'n'Out. Now that I'm back in Houston and fairly close to the one in Katy, I still eat at Whattaburger more. I prefer InNOut but not enough to deal with the lines, and I haven't had the issues ya'll have had with the one on Hwy 6 nor on 99. InNOut is just the classic burger, nothing fancy, but they're delicious. Whattaburger has a lot more options, but I still just go for the classic cheese burger.

Eh, whatever is closest I guess.

I hope you had the pleasure of having Store & More's burgers before they closed. One of the best I've ever had.

Drifter, FYI, Francisco's across the street from WB in Henderson has excellent Tex-Mex.
