(posted here and H&F board)

I'm looking for a service that does delivery of meat, fish, poultry, and maybe even game. We want the highest quality available, so organic, free range, wild caught, no antibiotics, etc. (Quality in terms of modern hippie healthy terms. No arguments that grass fed beef tastes better)

We'd prefer regular deliveries over something like buying a whole cow at once to keep quantities manageable. If the best option required us to get a deep freeze we could make that happen but not ideal.

We are only two people so we don't need tons. Ballpark ideal split would be 70% poultry and seafood, 30% beef, bison, pork, and game.

Anyone have recommendations?

Yonder Way Farm does free range Beef, Pork, Chicken and other items. No fish. Deliveries to some areas. They do have a web site.

We've really enjoy using Farmhouse Delivery for proteins, and have been doing so since March. It is delivered frozen so we can use it when we like as it's just the two of us. I will say the chicken wings are tiny so we don't mess with those when I feel like having homemade wings, I just hit up HEB.

When my wife first mentioned it I was skeptical but the quality is definitely there (aside from the chicken wings). They have a nice website you can take a look at to see if it fits the bill.

Are you saying grass fed tastes better? Grass fed can't develop enough fat to taste better.

Free range only means the hen had access to the outside doesn't mean she ever did and grass fed isn't nearly as tightly regulated

Also no antibiotics has several flavors, read them and figure out if you want to pay more for them especially if their is no independent inspection. I guarantee if it comes to the herd or the antibiotic label which comes firdt

If you have to freeze it, buy it frozen unless you have a blast freezer

No I meant to say "I'm not going to try to argue that grass fed tastes better because clearly it doesn't and it's not close."

I can see how it doesn't read that way.

See if you are near a pickup location. We have been using them for several months and are happy with the quality. They have a variety box (beef) that is about 50 lbs or single cuts. Also pork, lamb, goat, chicken.

I think equating the word "quality" with free range, organic, etc probably throws people off.
