Of all the things Texans are irrationally proud of, shiner is near the top of the list.
When I was at A&M, Shiner Bock in a beer ball was the cheapest beer we could get for a party.
Yuengling is like In-n-Out - great when you can't go two blocks to get it.

If you've never had it and think you're about to "live" when you get it - you'll be disappointed.
It is what it is - fun when you can't get it everyday and easy to drink a bunch.

is it going to available as wide spread as the big ones are now, or is it only going to be in limited quantities at the bigger stores?

Well it does compete with bud light in terms of price point and IS superior. No one here is comparing it to a 9.99/sixer craft lager.

Did you ever report back where you had bought in Texas before?
This right here is why most in the beer industry are anticipating the first few months after March when it starts getting brewed and shipped out there will be a huge amount of sales garnished. I saw a Yuengling truck in the Houston area yesterday
Bars in Texas had it on draft starting yesterday. I saw that the Chicken had it on tap.
Was able to partake at my pub in Waco on Wednesday. Got a free gift with it.

Randomly found a 12 pack at our local beer store in Anderson. Really good - malty with a clean finish.

Picked up a six pack of their light beer called "Flight" and it's also very good. Essentially the same calories and carbs as Ultra but sold in pint cans, which is genius. (To be fair, my bar for genius is pretty low.)
