How long do you want to ignore this user?

Asking the experts if I can cut this in half before cooking and freeze half. I'm roasting this in the oven and I don't have a pan that will fit the whole brisket. Plus we'll never eat all of this now.

You can for sure separate the point and the flat, and freeze the one you don't cook. Not sure how i would do it other than this, but I'm certain someone will chime in shortly. As for the roasting a brisket part, well...

Thanks I will do this! Yeah I know the roasting part is iffy, I'm a kitchen cook, and I just want to try out the Pioneer Woman's oven recipe.

When I have a large brisket, i trim off the point and grind it for hamburgers and freeze if needed.

Thanks Dan! I was able to trim off the point and freeze it. I braised the flat in the oven and it turned out pretty good.
