Howdy everyone! First of all, Thanks for all the feedback you gave me yesterday. I think that most of you will find this promotion enticing.

This one comes courtesy of my friends at Pederson's Natural Farms out of Hamilton, TX.

If you are new to my posts, I have a consulting firm that helps manufacturers with their eCommerce strategy and implementation. As a benefit, I will post here on Texags with some promotions from time to time to help increase sales and product reviews (hint, hint).

Here is how it works:
I'll post some products here along with a coupon, discount code or voucher that I've created just for Texags. I will share the details of the promotion with you, then you buy whatever you want. Please write a product review by giving your honest feedback about each product and please don't mention that you got a discount on the product. If you want, you can PM me if you want to share something that you don't want to put on the board. Also, if you share product videos or pictures by uploading them to Amazon, it would be much appreciated.

Promotion Details
This promotion lasts through March 10, but if you order before tomorrow at 11am, you are guaranteed 2-day shipping. There are coupons on every product on Amazon. Just clip the coupon and add to cart. Once in your cart, you'll notice another 20% off. You're probably saying, "That's magical, buddy!" Really, it's true. The other great thing is that you only pay the shipping fee once, no matter how many products you add to your cart. So try them all and you still only pay $20 shipping.

If you've never had a Pederson's product, you're going to love it. Super high-quality product that is really clean and healthy (Organic, Gluten Free, etc). All of their products are nitrite and nitrate free, no sugar added, no antibiotics ever. In other words, this meat is premium. If you are coming here expecting to find bacon for $2 per package, this promo is not for you!

Looking at your kielbasa since that's apparently a big item for Pederson's.

A 4 pack is $30. That's $7.50 each, plus $20 shipping. ($50 total)

At 50% off that's $3.75 each plus $20 shipping. ($35 total)

As mentioned in the last thread A: I'm not buying a whole bunch of sausage at a time (just my personal situation), B: I just can't justify deciding to take a risk on a product I don't know if I like at a higher price (despite the discount Pedersons here is $3.75 vs $2.69 for my standard product at HEB) then throw a $20 bill at it to ship it. Now, at the base price of $3.75, that is a negligible difference I'm happy to pay for a local quality product I like. I'd gladly pay that, so that rate isn't the issue. It's $20 shipping for 4 links of sausage that's the problem. Again, I understand shipping frozen or refrigerated items is expensive so I'm not begrudging it, it's just not worth it.

As packaged this decision is still a "no" for me despite being intrigued by the product and curious about its taste and quality. And none of this mentions the actual price of the product beyond the texags short term discount, which is a hard pass for me even if I didn't have to ship it.

For $7.50 a link it needs to be made out winged Pegasus.

So I guess the hinge point for me is two fold:

A: the actual undiscounted price is too high for me
B: I'm not sure I know I like it.

Sounds like Pedersons needs to get out and start handing out samples. I'd take a 50% off coupon for a single package of sausage I can pick up at my local HEB/Kroger/whatever any day. If I like it, and the retail price comes down a bit, (~$5??) they've got a new customer.

But untasted, I'm not doing it as proposed above.
