In my outdoor kitchen I have a green egg that I use mainly on the weekends, and a Firemagic Aurora 430i (natural gas) that I mainly use during the week (just for time/ease mainly). Well, the manifold cracked on it and pretty much melted all of the wiring/internals. So have to replace with something else. What would be your opinion on the way to go. By the way, its stone sides with a limestone counter. So far, I'm considering:
A). A different brand trying to match the same size for cutout, but would require some reworking of island. Thinking Blaze? I have a griddle tray that goes on the grates and works fairly well on the old grill.
B) Not as aesthetically pleasing, but remove grill and put in an outdoor fridge. With an 8 and 10 year old boys, they are always coming in for a drink. Would probably just get a freestanding blackstone.
C) Swallow my pride and see if Firemagic has anything that will fit the cutout. Honestly, haven't looked with how bad their customer service (or lack thereof) has been.
Are any companies already promoting Memorial day sales?
