What's your go-to beach house/beach drinks? We normally just fill up the cooler with beer, but looking for other options this year. My main concerns involve making drinks on the beach and having wet sand everywhere to deal with. Any easy mixed drink ideas?

My favorite is a classic daiquiri. Fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and white rum, shake with ice and strain into a glass. So fresh and clean and delicious.

.75 part lime juice
.75 part syrup
2 parts rum

We have a small igloo dispenser which holds like 2 gallons. Fill w vodka, tonic and sliced limes. Separate cooler just ice. Plastic cups.

I would think if you're wanting cocktails on the beach but are worried about sand or other logistical concerns, I would just batch the cocktail before you go and take it in some kind of pitcher, jug, etc. Easy ones would be daiquiri, marg, etc. An ideal vessel would be one that can seal shut so you can give it a shake when you serve (assuming citrus is involved).

If you want to make it on the beach, something of the highball variety would be great, as it's just pour and drink. Dark and stormy, rum and coke, etc.

You could batch mai tais or painkillers pretty easily.

I like the comments so far. I like pineapple juice and dark rum (Gosling Black Seal is my go to). I think those are called painkillers, or something.

I'd also add that a pitcher of sangria in the fridge or cooler is nice.

Anything that is citrus based usually sucks.

I'd make a batch of punch and put it in a cooler. Put ice in a cup, dispense, and drink. Repeat.

You can even try making your own adult juice boxes/bags with specific cocktails inside. Call them fun bags.

I've used these below with success at the beach.

Glad I saw this thread. We leave for the beach tomorrow morning. Picked up some vodka and rum yesterday to take with us. Gonna get mixers at the HEB down there.

My go to beach drink is white sangria. Buy a cheap gallon pitcher that has a snap lid (not the rotating kind). I use the 1.5L bottle of Ste. Genevieve White (cheap but great for sangria), 2 1L bottles of the zero calorie/sugar free generic store brand flavored sweetened sparkling water (I prefer HEB peach), and a bag of frozen fruit.

Keep fruit frozen until ready to head to the beach. Pour everything in gallon pitcher and load up in cooler. Frozen fruit will help keep it cool while you're out and impart some great flavors!

Along those lines, the Deep Eddy Ruby Red with some Topo Chico and a squirt of lime, and lots of ice is always a good one.

A corona with a **** of tequila in it. Although glass bottles and beaches don't necessarily mix.

A grapefruit Radler with a shot of grapefruit vodka in it is also great.

If mixing a pitcher is in the cards Gin Bucket is our go to:

Frozen concentrated Limeade goes in the pitcher, then fill up the empty can with gin and dump it in the pitcher, then fill the pitcher up with club soda.

I usually fill up a large tumbler with ranch water (HEB lime soda with tequila) on my way out the door then switch over to Michelob ultras with lime from the ice chest. If I'm feeling ambitious I'll bring salt to sprinkle on the lids of the cans which adds a nice touch, sorta like a chilada.

Not a big fan of premixed drinks because you have to decide the strength ahead of time then pace yourself. I like the idea of pouring a drink and deciding per pour how much tequila to add. I think that was part of the original lure of ranch waters when I first heard about these on Texags years ago, much easier to pace your alcohol content imo, and they're pretty dang good and refreshing.

Same, but I use Topo Chico instead of HEB lime soda
