Want to invest in a new griddle (family down to three since two kids are in college, so doesn't have to be huge). Assuming my best two options is a cast iron griddle for the gas stove-top that covers two burners. Other option would be a propane griddle (would of course have to be outside). Can anyone comment on your experience with the pro's and con's of both? I'm going to assume an electrical griddle isn't even in the conversation. But I could be wrong...

Just bought a 4 burner 36" Blackstone and love it. Easy to clean, cooks alot of food quickly. Asked TA about that one or slightly smaller with air fryer and overwhelmingly people said the larger griddle.

Some people recommended this for the smart temp technology (but needs power and propane):

Stovetop Griddle
Pros: You live by yourself and are only cooking for 1
Cons: You need a griddle for anything else

Inside griddles are nice when weather outside is crappy (even if covered), but if I could only have one it would be outside.

Easier to to clean than a stovetop, and doesn't smell up the house.

Cons to outside are weather pending your location/outdoor setup, and making sure you don't run out of propane mid-cook if you don't have a gas line.
Staff - take out the trash.

Can't give you the cons of both, but I have a 4 burner Blackstone outside. I use it all the time. In fact, I never use my Weber grill anymore because of it.

Eta, one thing I do now is cook.the hell out of bacon. I can cook a whole package at once and it doesn't stink the house. I pre cook bacon all the time now to use in different stuff and for breakfast. Now that I have that griddle,I cook more bacon than I ever did.

I didn't click on this thread for a while because I wasn't interested in hearing about a griddle that notified you when your food was done…..
