I've gone a few months without using my Blackstone, and just noticed it's starting to rust in a few spots. The recommended protocol on Blackstone's site is to basically scrape it, sand it down with oil, wipe clean, and re-season it.

I'm curious if anyone here has had to clean up some rust on your griddle top, and whether you might have any pointers or helpful tips.

I let one sit in the weather for a good while and thought it was done for.
Watched some YouTube and brought it back looking brand new.
Scrape what you can off then take a wire wheel and drill to it. Finish it with a sander and season it again. Should be back to it's original state after all of that is done.
