I was asked to make a cocktail that could be served to the family while we munch on Apps. before dinner.

Anything special you have done for the holidays?

Imagine 8-10 drinkers. Imagine I'd put it in a large serving dispenser.

We always make holiday mules:

Bourbon or vodka
Ginger beer
Bitters
Lime
Splash of cranberry juice
Garnish with mint, orange slice, fresh cranberries, and cinnamon stick

Apple pie sangria. I took it to a party full of my neighborhood beer drinkers and they all loved it. So easy too

I've heard of a drink called a Thankstini. Equal parts potato vodka and cranberry juice, shaken over ice and served up. Garnish with a turkey bullion cube.

To each their own. Pic isn't the best. Nothing special really, just a regular mule with lots of silly garnish but it's festive and the fam enjoys it.

1 oz Apple cider, 1/4 oz Creme de cassis, 1/4 oz Lemon juice, 1 oz Tequila

My wife did a holiday cranberry margarita and some kind of cold cider like cocktail last year. Both were hits.

Blackberry Bourbon Bramble

Bourbon
Blackberry liquer/brandy
Simple syrup
Bitters
Fresh blackberries
Orange or lemon
Mint
Ginger beer

Muddle 3 blackberries, few mint leaves, squeeze of orange/lemon, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice and add bourbon, liquer, and bitters. Shake for 20sec. Pour contents of shaker into two lowball whiskey glasses. Add more ice if needed. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with fresh blackberry, orange peel, candied ginger, fresh mint.

Punch

Half liter of vodka, pineapple juice and orange juice, each. 2 liter sprite. 1-2 bottles of prosecco.

Mix it together. Add fruit (strawberries, raspberries, etc). Mint leaves.

Good for brunch and to carry over to Thanksgiving dinner.
