time to get that thing out of the freezer and into the fridge to start thawing

You don't want to experience that feeling of rage/regret Thursday morning when your turkey is still partially frozen.

Check it Wednesday morning. If it's still mostly frozen, you can thaw it in a bucket covered with cold water. Change the water very half hour until it's thawed, then put it back in the fridge.
