Bought a cheap one off of Woot that's a POS, but it did well enough to get me and the wife excited about juicing. Any folks out there that have recommendations on one that works well, isn't too hard to clean, makes a lot of juice at a time, lasts a while, and isn't any eyesore?

What do you plan to juice and how often? If you are crunching down carrots and apples every day, it's different than leafy greens.

I plan on doing big batches once a week with beets, carrots, jalapeno, celery, kale, apples, oranges, ginger, turmeric, etc. I did some research last night on them and I'd imagine I'd need pretty good machine to do that amount of work, especially sending the leafy stuff through it, but I have limited knowledge which is why I'm here. Thanks for response.

If you juice for a week and you leave it in your fridge, i guarantee it wont look appetizing after a couple to several days...

why are you juicing? just a question...

Good/quick way to get a lot of nutrients that I otherwise wouldn't.

That. My wife juices a lot. After a few days you can tell the difference in flavor and quality.

She did a lot of digging on Amazon before getting her previous juicer and then her current one. They seem to jump in increments of $125-150. First one was about that and it worked for a few batches but we could tell it wouldn't last and it took F O R E V E R. Current one was about $250 and sped up the process a bit. The screw type with the screen seem to work better.

Thanks. We went ahead and got a nicer one after the Woot replacement broke on some carrots. I've seen the quality/look definitely goes down after a few days for the bigger bottles. Way I see it it's just a way to easily injest some more healthy nutrients that I normally wouldn't. Made some ginger/turmeric shots yesterday with orange and apple and they're delicious. Would probably be $5 at whole foods.
