Is there a Texas brew company that has a better breadth of offerings? I have yet to drink a real ale beer that wasn't fantastic and had good flavor that you could actually taste

Drinking a brown ale tonight

I can accept that if you throw in that it is at the Chicken on game day

No. They are the best and their barrel-aged brews are awesome. Six pack of Backbone is a great deal also

Devils Backbone is probably my "Desert Island" beer.

I think real ale holds up the best of the "original crafts beers", whatever that means to you. Especially Fireman's 4, just a solid, drinkable beer. In comparison, to me, SA Amber seems to have gotten worse over time.

They have seemed to adjusted devils backbone to make it more more of a clove bomb, but that could also be a migration of my tastebuds.

Love Fresh Kicks when I can find it. Strangely enough, my local HEB has a ton of Real Ale, but not FK. Wind up going with Tupps Juice Pack as an alternative, which seems odd to have that as the lone offering from Tupps but not another Real Ale.

Their Mysterium Verum line up is solid. Like the gose a lot on hot days and the ddh axis was great. Brewery is a fun visit too.

Right after Covid hit, Real Ale was supposed to host a pre-wedding party for my son. They were so great to work with, the Tap Room and Brewery were just getting set up to host this type of event. But sadly, Covid put the brakes on that. That was my introduction to Real Ale, we have stopped by the brewery mutiple times since then. Sometimes they have specials, and you can check out all the beers that you may not be able to find in stores. Aside from being really good people to work with the beers are top notch......

Just went and looked at their website, I was not aware of how many of their year around beers I have never seen in DFW. I need to get my hands on the bock and kolsch ASAP.

Edit: Total Wine days that a majority of these are available, but I swear they are hiding them.

Sometimes you will find a 6-pack (2 each) of their bomber offerings. Quadruple, Scotch Ale and RI Stout.

Hans Pils is the best mass produced Pils in the state and I will die on that hill.

Live Oak Pilz would like a word.

(I liked Hans a lot when I last had it, and it's been years now, so I won't object your opinion).

Love Real Ales offerings, when in Blanco swing by Andalusia whiskey for a cocktail. Agreed on Live Oak, they're king of craft pilsners in Texas.

St. Arnolds' Summer Pils is also good.

8Track Amber is a great recent addition.

From an old dude that can relate to the 8-track days.

That comes around in the fall / winter and it a great value. Buy it every year. Those were only previously offered as bombers.

Otherwise, they are one of the very few Texas breweries that has a Tripel on their year-round offering. It's not Unibroue but is it always available and reasonably priced.

It's damn near impossible to find Lost Gold (IPA) that's not in a sampler pack. That makes me sad.

I like all the Live Oak Brewing beers. Also Altstadt has some good offerings

Altstadt is mass produced sh_t.

They built that huge bavarian castle to attract jorts wearing weekend boomers and their wine drunk tag along wife, and I guess made enough money to put their swill in HEB.

Mass produced? Decent beers and I doubt the Scripps
family was hurting for money to sell their beers in HEB. Enjoy your Bud Light.
