The Wolfe Pit guy is my favorite food reviewer - no pretensions here,
and he seems to be both funny and fair to all.
This comes out with a win to Chic Fil A but Popeyes gives a larger portion.
Some commenters also favor Chic Fil A service over Popeyes.

Popeye's Blackened Chicken is way better than Chick Fil A grill- marked not actually grilled chicken. Popeyes is also lower volume so every time I get them they are cooked to order

According to the review, Popeyes tasted good because it had MSG, and a lot more injected water than ChicF.
But I have a history of eating MSG at Chinese restaurants and enjoying it so...
At this point, I've never eaten anything but fried chicken at either place but will try both as the stats given by the review make the nonfried versions appear a lot healthier.

Chick Fil a messed up my order one time and gave me the "grilled" nuggets. Tasted like dog food. CFA May win in the service and cleanliness departments, but I'll take Popeyes over them any day based strictly on the food. Plus CFA doesn't have red beans and rice.

it's been multiple years since I tried them so they may have improved, but Fil A's 'grilled' nuggets and stripes have a slimy/rubbery taste to them. no bueno

Chick Fila's grilled nuggets are complete and utter trash.

If you've eaten at Chick Fil A you have a history of eating MSG there too
