Science finally taking on the important questions of our time. Spoiler alert: they say 20% is the max. I say one ice cube should suffice!

Any water is too much, IMO.

I never add water. Maybe an ice cube but I haven't even done that in a long time.

Usually I just have it on the rocks, or I may ask for a splash of water. Never more.

If whiskey is Scotch, then 3 drops in a dram. Never use ice. Per the guy at the distillery and more than a few bartenders in Scotland.

It's fun to experiment with a bit of water. Can change the profile. Sometimes for the better.

Neat or 1 ice cube. That's it for me.

Too much is however much you don't like.

Other than that, it doesn't matter. I hate the "my way is the only correct way to consume whiskey" thing. It's dumb.

As Booker Noe said - drink it any damn way you like.

I've found that higher proof booze can benefit from a teaspoon or so of water. But drink it however you like.

I have found that my sweet spot is a proof between 45-50. If I get a BiB or barrel proof, I like to have at least one pour straight, but then typically add enough water to get it down to my preferred range.

I don't know what it is, but cold bourbon taste weird to me, so I never add ice.

How ever much you want. Enjoy your liquor exactly the way you prefer. What other people do is irrelevant.

If I want water I'll drink water, if I want whiskey I'll drink whiskey.
