Mrs Wheat taught my daughter (FTA class of '20) in middle school. She had been displaced out of New Orleans from Katrina and in the midst of starting over in a new town, she was one of the most impactful teachers that my daughter ever had - she is a truly special person.
Anyway, Mrs Wheat now has a little business making Natchitoches meat pies (Natchitoches, LA is her original hometown) and has made it the final round of this festival food contest. It would mean a lot if you could click through and vote her to victory! Thank you!!
