Howdy howdy,

Bride to be and I will be venturing to Kauai and are looking to get some suggestions on places to go. We are foodies and love all food and drinks. Looking for both high end and local places as well.

Lunch and dinner suggestions are appreciated.

Best food we had was a random dude smoking chickens on side of the road.
Puka dog is cool....and weird. Wasnt our cup of tea, but you have to check it out. We ended up cooking more than we hoped to on that particular island.

Was it Huli-Huli chicken? Kind of an Asian BBQ sauce flair? SOOOO good....

Our favorite shave ice was Wailua Shave Ice.
Had a nicer dinner at Beach House Restaurant, I wasn't very impressed with it.

I lived on Oahu for a while, and Kauai was usually my go-to island for any 3-day weekend. I wouldn't call it a foodie destination. I wouldn't call any of the islands a foodie destination for that matter.
