Can I trouble you guys to give me some recommendations for nice restaurants in BCS?

My daughter is going to school up there and her mom and I want to go take her out for a nice meal (lunch) for her birthday. I was going to take her to Republic, but it's only open for dinner.

Any suggestions for nice places to take her?

I'll give Kanji a thumbs up as well. Wait staff the times we've been have just been fantastic, so much so that we had to leave because the rest of staff was giving us the 'okay guys, y'all gotta go' look and not because we were deep into sake, just chatting with the waiter/waitress, no other patrons in the joint haha. Pop across to Stella after if you like.

Thanks Guys....really appreciate it. I'll be making quite a few trips up to see her over the next few years so I'll keep all of these in my notes!

Every single one of those has opened since I graduated not that long ago, and most in the last 2-3 years. It's crazy how the food scene has grown here.

I was going to add Amico Nave to the list, but it appears they're only open for dinner now.

After the Auburn game we checked out Ronin in Bryan. Was pretty easy to get a reservation and the food was good. Pretty extensive drink menu.

They catered my wedding and I can't recommend them enough. My go to when we come in town to see the in-laws.

Napa Flats is also a solid option for lunch. They own Petite Cochon as well.

Primrose Path is attached to The Republic and also very good. It opens at 5 if you wanted to do an early dinner. Republic is great but very adult. Primrose might be more the vibe a college student would enjoy.

Crazy is right....

Are college kids going to these places or just being sustained by family visits, locals? It was splurge for me to go to Ninfas or Wings n More when I was in college lol

Is Madden's in downtown Bryan still open? They always had a good lunch with a nice environment but it has been years since I've been.

Peter sold/partnered Madden's to/with Tai Lee, but it subsequently closed (years ago). The Harvey Washbangers/Stella Southern Cafe folks then opened Clementine's Kitchen in that location back in March, but it already closed again. Latest rumor is that the Luigi's Patio Ristorante people are opening a tapas restaurant in that location.

Its worth driving 15 min to Ronin in Bryan

I'm kind of surprised Luigi's is still in business.
