Going over seas awhile and the breakfast sausage is not the same. Thoughts someone might have a "Jimmy Dean" regular or hot mix they use!

Thx in advance

I came across this years ago but have yet to try it. I do remember when I came across it that a lot of folks were giving it great reviews.

The good news is there are a ton of Jimmy Dean copycat recipes online. The bad news is there's a ton of Jimmy Dean copycat recipes online.

We use a mix from Walton's, but it's nothing like a Jimmy Dean seasoning. It's still very good though. https://waltons.com/114-c-pork-sausage-seasoning/

Exactly. Folks here , like first response helps with being to compare mixtures Do know until I ask the question. Going to have access to ground pork,,,,,so I will take enough mixture for 20lbs to 50lbs. Sounds like a lot but sometimes you get opportunities to cook breakfast for others and you end up needing more ingredients. It is just easier to take a premix of. Chilli spices, spaghetti sauce, breakfast sauces, pinto beans, and so on.

country sausage

2 tsp salt
2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 tsp minced fresh sage (or 1/2 tsp dried sage)
2 tsp minced fresh marjoram or thyme (or 1/2 tsp dried marjoram or thyme)
1 tsp red pepper flakes
pinch of ground cloves

Mix all dry ingredients together. If using a food processor, mix dry ingredients together in bowl, then pour over ground pork and turn processor on. Make a small test patty and fry, taste to adjust seasonings.

Sorry!!

My keyboard kept glitching, and it deleted the top line.

This recipe is for 1.5 lbs of ground pork.

The HEB CASI Terlingua chili seasoning mix is solid. I make that one when I want chili but don't want to bother toasting chiles.

For spaghetti sauce, you can make a pretty decent one with fresh garlic, canned tomatoes, and any dried Italian seasoning mix. I don't have a recipe for that, I just go by taste.
