Need restaurant recommendations for dinner for four Olds in New Braunfels or Canyon Lake.

Doesn't have to be really fancy, but good food, not too loud & not tons of kids.

Thats a relatively large area with a ton of options. Type of food? Budget? Guessing you want something local?

Myron's food is extremely under-seasoned, IMO. Definitely not worth the price.

Huisache can be great and GRG is solid. Gruene Door also good. Not much worth mentioning out the the lake.

Seafood - McAdoo's
German - Alpine Haus for food, Krause's for atmosphere
Divey Burger Joint - Freiheit
Higher end burgers - Muck n Fuss (sidecar is a great speakeasy-ish bar)
Divey Pizza / Bar - Callahan's for pizza rolls
Bakery/Coffee - Two Tarts
Mexican - Cantina Del Rio in Gruene
BBQ - regular places like Coopers or Black's

Then every chain under the sun.

Local here: Noli's Vite is my favorite restaurant in NB located just outside of Gruene. It's a restaurant I'd go out of my way for if it wasn't convenient. Food is better Italian than Gennaro's in CL, but if you're closer to CL Genarro's is solid.

The Gruene Door is the best higher end dining in NB with Myron's being the only other one.

Huisache is good, but a decent home cook can make anything on their 2005 menu.

Gruene River Grill has some good menu options plus it's a great atmosphere and perfect for what you asked for.

I'd personally go to Noli's or Gruene River Grill then walk around Gruene.

Good call. I remember when Noli's came to town before I moved away. Only ate there a few times but got takeout a lot during Covid and they were awesome.
