Headed to Boston this Friday through Wednesday. Where and what should I eat? I've never been. Staying at the Copley near finish line of the marathon.

Regina Pizza (location in the North End). Divey, old school place and it's legit good.

Neptune Seafood is also good, but a little pricey. Really there are tons of great places/bars in the downtown/north end part where you cant go wrong. Union Oyster House was also good, even for it being somewhat tourist trap. Oldest restaurant in American I believe. It was a cool spot.

Neptune Oyster is a must visit when I'm in the area... typically a ton of oysters plus one of the best lobster rolls around.

I have said this before. Start walking the Freedom Trail. When you get to Little Italy, follow your nose. Find some Mom and Pop place on the trail or even in an alley. You cannot go wrong no matter where you stop.

Shake shack right across the street from Trillium Brewing was an amazing experience for me. That's less so now that shake shack is everywhere now. But at the time was awesome!

I second and third Regina Pizzeria, go to the one near the Old North church, it is the original

For clam chowder, hear me out, the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor (my dad was from Boston, so I know what good clam chowder is supposed to taste like)

Take a short detour off the trail and hit up Mike's Pastry for a cannoli.

And when walking through North End, keep your eyes forward when walking by open doors to shops, dry cleaners, etc. with mobsters in track suits sitting around.

I love Boston. Even though pretty touristy, you have to do Union Oyster.

And if you have some time (and a car), Maine is only a couple of (beautiful) hours' drive up the coast. Lobster shacks everywhere. Favorite is Cape Pier in Kennebunkport.

You gotta go to Mike's for a canoli. The food court and restaurants at north station has some really good options and I like A &B kitchen and bar. A lot of times I just take the metro to Haymarket square and see what catches my eye.
