OOSHWA, could you or a staff member explain to me why I have to log on every day when I first enter Texags? Is something wrong with my account?

thanks

you shouldn't have to. give me a little info, and I'll try to help...

(1) what is the first page you go to? ie. do you type in texags.com, or do you use a bookmark to some other page (like the forums listing page)?

(2) what browser? and what os (pc or mac)?

(3) I assume you are selecting the "remember me" option when logging in?

OOSHWA - thanks for your reply.
1. I use a pull-down from "favorites" - "http://texags.com/. Opens to TexAgspage w/large screen at top and five smaller selections underneath. I click on a screen and I'm asked to logon.

2. I use PC.

3. Yes, I check box "remember me"

4. I think this only happens on the first logon of the day, every day..

thanks

I assume you have checked "save your password in a cookie." Do you have your browser delete cookies daily, or anything like that?

1. Login to TexAgs from the home page (be sure to select "Remember Me"

2. From the "Tools" menu in FireFox, select "Options" (if the menu bar is hidden, press "Alt" to make it appear)

3. Click "Privacy" at the top of the window

4a. If the History drop down says "Remember history", then select "remove individual cookies"

4b. If the History drop down says "Use custom setting for history", then make sure "Accept cookies from sites" is enable, then click "Show Cookies"

5. Scroll down to "texags.com" in the windows that opens, and expand the folder by clicking on the arrow

6. There should exist an entry under "texags.com" that says ".LOGIN" over to the right, click on this entry and review the details in the area below

7. Under "Content" you should see your username and then a long string of "nonsense" for your password. Under "Expires" should be a date at least a few months from now.

Let me know what you see!
