OK ... so I posted something in the zoo with a link to S H A G G Y Bevo. Now, I understand why the filter gives me *** for Sh****bevo.com, and it's OK, if a little bit annoying.

However, in an effort to eliminate the problem, I decided to just set up a tiny url link and go that way. Well, the system also considers *******.com a verbotten word.

I was just curious as to why. Wasn't clear as to why that would be a problem.

If I remember correctly this filter came around the time that tiny URL was the main URL shortener. URL shortened hide where the link goes and can be linked to all sorts of stuff when there's not a great reason to shorten since post length isn't limited.

I'd remove both if it were me, but I think that's why.

I just came here to ask about this. The a g g y filtering thing is really annoying, and if its because of what the horns say, then it's kind if lame too.

Any way we can get rid of this?

Surely there is a way to modify the a g g y filter to only kick in when the letters a, g, g and y are found in this order in a string that is bookended by spaces. Right, programmers?
