If you are running Internet Explorer 8, 9 or 10 and are seeing the compatibility warning at the top of TexAgs, then your browser is running in "Compatibility Mode". This mode causes IE to run as if it was a much older browser and will cause certain aspects of TexAgs not to function properly.

To turn off this mode, click the blue "torn paper" icon () on the right side of your address bar.

When compatibility mode is off, the paper is gray ()

Logs indicate you browser is reporting as "MSIE 7.0". If you are running IE8, it means you are still in "compatibility mode" as indicated by my post above.

When in IE hit F12. Change "browser mode" to IE8 from the top menu in the resulting window

And that's supposed to save permanently? I don't have a broken page icon on my title bar, but i do see where it says compatibility mode when i hit F12 but it won't stay like that after i change it.

Here is a support page from Google, where they help users disable IE compatibility mode when using their products.

Of course, use "texags.com" where they use "google.com".

In this same setting area, make sure you do NOT have selected, "Display all websites in compatibility view."

You'll need to run IE in desktop mode to see/set the compatibility view options.

The first post in this thread explains why you might still get the message even if you have IE 10.
