The passkey prompt before entering your username is intentional, but it should only show up if you already have a passkey saved to your device. This lets you authenticate in one simple action.
I will investigate further on the error, though, and let you know if I need more info.

I'm using 1Password and it usually triggers in the browser extension once you pass through the username screen.

I see what you mean. Seems like passkey authentication doesn't work at all with 1Password on Firefox. I'll see what I can do.
