Aggies at the Olympics, July 28: Middleton scores 10 as USA crushes Iran
Fresh off an NBA Championship with the Milwaukee Bucks, Khris Middleton contributed to Team USA’s preliminary round domination of Iran at the Tokyo Olympics.
On Wednesday, the Americans nearly doubled the Iranians, winning 120-66. Middleton contributed just 10 points, shooting 4-of-6 from the field with two rebounds and two assists in just 16 minutes of play.
With the win, the United States men’s basketball team now sits at 1-1 in Group A following a 83-76 loss to France in their first game of the tournament. Next for the Americans is their final group game against the Czech Republic on July 31.

Men's Basketball
Khris Middleton had 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting performance with two rebounds and two assists as Team USA defeated Team Iran, 120-66. USA continues group stage play July 31st against the Czech Republic.
Men’s Tennis
Team USA’s doubles duo of Texas A&M alum Austin Krajicek and teammate Tennys Sandgren defeated Jan-Lennard Struff and Alexander Zverev of Team Germany, 6-3 & 7-6, in Wednesday’s quarterfinal match. Krajicek and Sandgren will take on Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic of Team Croatia in the men’s doubles semifinal on July 28th at 9 p.m. CT on NBC Sport Network.
Swimming
Team Canada’s Sydney Pickrem finished sixth (2:10.05) in the women’s 200m individual medley final. Pickrem also competed in the 4x200m freestyle relay, helping Team Canada advance to the final with a time of 7:51.52. The final takes place on July 28th at 10:31 p.m. CT on NBC Sports Network.
Mexico’s Angel Martinez finished 38th in the men’s 200m individual medley with a 2:01.34 mark.
Munzy Kabbara (Lebanon) recorded a time of 2:03.08 in the men’s 200m individual medley to place 41st.
