Rencher is strong, physical, and athletic with good perimeter size at 6-foot-5 and a mature frame. He plays hard and competes on both ends of the floor. He's best described as a wing at this point, but has a growing skill-set and is trending towards being a multi-positional big guard of sorts. He's made significant strides as a spot-up shooter (41% 3pt in 3SSB). He has terrific shot preparation and good rotation, despite shooting a bit of a hard ball.

He's still evolving a bit as a handler and passer. He doesn't get the ball out in front of him when pushing himself and has an easier time overpowering defenders then blowing right by them in the half-court. He likes physicality though, has good balance through contact, and a combination of bounce and power that leads to some emphatic finishes. He has good perimeter footwork, but tends to stop the ball from moving when he wants to face-up his defender and jab at him in an isolation style. He's a capable pull-up shooter, but can settle for tough twos when unable to create much separation. He also needs to keep developing his feel for making passing reads (0.6 assists vs. 1.4 turnovers in 3SSB).

Defensively, he's just as engaged and physical. He's going to be switchable onto bigger players, but not quite as quick as some smaller guards. Overall, he's strong and physical with a high-motor and looks to impose his will on both ends of the floor. As he continues to extend and polish his skill set, he projects as a tough and versatile two-way weapon.
