We were 18/29 on 2 point shot, and TN was 10/27.
TN was 13/27 on 3's, and we were 5/30.
These are pretty extreme splits. We have to do a better job getting the ball inside on offense. We have to do a better job of herding shooters into the strength of our defense.

Really great game in terms of level of competition, just not what we wanted in outcome.
They were not inhumane behind the arc. In warmups both teams were hitting at a high clip behind the arc. Difference is, during the game we defended the three as much as they were defended in warmups.

I just don't think that is correct. He killed momentum and took opportunities away from others all day as he pecked out his 18 and 9. He was 1 step forward, 1.25 steps backward all day.

18 points and 9 assists on 4/15 shots. Not a terrible line. Would have had 20 on 5/15 if not for Payne's mistake.

Also we made 1 3pt shot in the 2nd half. 1. Hard to win with that when the other team shoots 40+% from behind the arc like Tennessee did today.
He has always been a high volume/poor shot selection shooter. The difference is last year he would have gone 3-9, with one of those makes being a clutch shot down the stretch.BraxtonW said:the assist were good and produced points. Need Solo and Jace to understand they're wide open for a reason out there. If the defense wants you to shoot that, you probably shouldn't. TN wasn't even really bothering to close out on them.
Wade being 0-9 obviously is bad, but I can live with him shooting it. Solo shooting four threes is four wasted possessions.

You're moving the goal posts from sucked to costing us the game. If you're going to shoot from the logo as often as he does you're going to need to hit some otherwise you're just a momentum killer. For the first time ever I watched him hesitate to shoot open 3s because of how many he's missed lately.
He also doesn't need to be anywhere near the court when we need any kind of a defensive stop.
