We will find out on Wednesday. Although it's not a good comparison given the strength of the conference this year
All the Buzz haters coming around really should be complimenting the team and Buzz in the hopes that another school hires him if they want him gone
If you are going to criticize Buzz, at least make it based on reality instead of making crap up.
There is plenty to criticize. For example , even his most ardent supporters don't love his offensive scheme.

Casuals- "This team isn't really a top 10 team"
Also the Casuals- "what? We lost to one of the best teams in the country? Buzz going to Buzz"
It wasn't a good week of basketball, but let's not act like it's all doom and gloom for losing to Tennnessee and on the road to anyone in this conference.

This week has gone pretty close to how I thought it would: I figured we'd lose to Miss DT then come home and play a tough one vs Tennessee and either go 1-1 or 0-2
I expect us to beat vandy and lose to Florida , then probably lose to Auburn and finish the season with a win at lsu
I think that gets us a 4 seed
Beat auburn or Florida and we'll be a 3 seed
Had we beaten Tennessee I think we'd have locked up at least a 3 seed provided we beat vandy and lsu

Tuesday against Miss. State was the problem; not Saturday against Tennessee. We played terrible in 2d half Tuesday and were embarrassed. Saturday was a different story. Miss St and tu were the two worst played 2d halves this year. The problem is they we needed to take Miss St and we're not up to it.

By all means Buzz is a great guy. I think he is a good coach. I don't think A&M can ever hire a great coach or keep one. The administration and BMA just don't have that much interest and most students don't care.
I don't think Buzz is an elite coach and sure, there are plenty of things to get frustrated with but he is a good fit and we can't do better and if we did he would jump ship.

will this season not be judged by what happens in the ncaa tourney? sweet sixteen or better great season anything less disappointing.

Not sure if you are interested in facts but you might want to take this information in and just think to yourself that it is definitely possible you don't know what you are talking about.

No quality defines elite like recruiting elite talent. So elite coach means recruiting elite athletes, well Buzz has not yet. That may be why he would leave A&M for another...TMF said:

But I am hopping Buzz can recruit elite athletes @ A&M. If Auburn, bama and Florida can, there is no reason why A&M can't...soon. We had NBA talents in the past but not enough or just not right timing. just a bad l,uck

Some people act like if we are not undefeated then we have a Buzz problem.
To defend the OP a little bit here, I don't think he means to end the season. We have had sections of every season where we just look terrible. Now, I don't think what we've seen the last two games is evidence that we're in one, for sure, but just saying I'm pretty sure he didn't mean we fade at the end of every season.
People look for trends when there are none.

Pig tu paperclip and LSU are in the bottom half of the league and we have played all but one of those games

Sure we have had a losing streak every year it just feels weird to call it an annual fade when we have been one of the hottest teams in the country on selection Sunday 3 years in a row.
Yeah I agree it wasn't worded well. I just think that's what he meant, not that we end every season poorly.
I was thinking the same, Ags have been pretty damned good in the latter part of the conference schedule in Buzz' tenure . enough to call it a clear trend imo. This year may be the outlier and then again it may not be. Still some very important games to be played relative to seeding .
This is one of the hardest stretches any team in D1 has faced all year. Top 20 road game followed by 3 of 4 games against top 6 teams. I was hoping to steal 1 of cowbell and Tennessee and finish 3-3, but looks like we're heading for 2-4. If we do that and win a game or two in the SEC tournament, that should get us a 3 or 4 seed.
Gotta beat Vanderbilt at home and LSU on the road. Lose 1 of those and the "we're fading hard" line begins to have some merit.

I also actually thought we played fairly well against Tennessee for most of the game. Did some dumb stuff late but it's not like they kicked our ass all over the court like State did in the second half. That game was tight the whole way until the absolute very end.
Hoping it's good to get a loss out of the way.

Exactly. Beat Vandy and LSU and show how competitive we are against Florida and Auburn, build momentum heading into the SECT and MM.
Make last week's Miss St. collapse an outlier.

I don't think you can really call it a clear trend at all. There's years where we were bad all year (2021). Years where we were good all year (2023). And then years where we alternated good and bad (2020/2022/2024).
It's far more a product of our schedule than our actual play.
