Like the NCAA Basketball Tournament? Because that is single elimination elimination format for 64 teams with 4 additional play-in slots. To win the championship you have to win 6 games in a row… or 7 if you're the play-in.

So are you saying a "blind squirrel sometimes finds 6 acorns in a row"?

Ok here is what I am saying. You would think over the years. A&M would have a group of players in one of the big three sports that would somehow be pieced together with a special player or two and special coach that goes all the way. Every thing bounces their way. Like Auburn did with Cam Newton . He was a juco guy out Blinn. That year they won several close games and got all kind of good fortune .

You don't necessarily need 6 great games in a row. Early round games could be blowout wins …or we could lose … but the matchups do matter.
