Wade Taylor
Bernard King
Vernon Smith
Joseph Jones
Acie Law

Let's put that 5 on the court. Now, you get to put 5 out there from the rest of Aggie history to go against them. Who ya got, and who wins?

Here's a sports reference page to help (for some reason it doesn't show points).

https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/texas-am/men/leaders-and-records-career.html

For anybody wondering why Coleman gets so many minutes, he is the school's all time leader in offensive rebounds.

How about:
David Edwards
Alex Caruso
Donald Sloan
Winston Crite
Robert Williams

Offense against defense. First one to 20. 3 hour time limit.

Lot of ways to build a lineup.
Joe Wilbert and Bryan Davis on the block, with David Edwards kicking to Josh Carter and Khris Middleton would be filthy.

Do you have Wade Taylor playing against Wade Taylor? I thought you couldn't use a player on the original list.

Do better, Method Man. Your president needs you to do better.

I was a kid but my memory has Rudy Woods being pretty tough in a "true center" era.

It's unfortunate those pieces fit so well together, hard to scheme against.

Give me Sloan, House, Antoine Wright, Josh Carter and Robert Williams and I'm just running and gunning and raining threes like Alabama.

Played in pick up games with Vernon Smith a few of times at Kiest Park Rec center before he headed off to pro ball.

We need a 12 year old or a 34 year old man child with a scruffy beard and a newborn to find a way to play some of these lineups against each other.

My son says this has been done on "2K," whatever that is.

My last basketball video game was Dr. J. And Larry Bird going one-on-one on my Commodore 64.

OP took 3 of my all time:
Ace, Joseph J, and the best Vernon Smith. Bernard K and Wade would come off the bench of my all time A T M team.

I would counter OP's 5 with D Sloan, Sonny Parker, John Beasley, Joe W, and Andy or Rynn Wright.

The younger generation has no idea how good J Beasley, Sonny P, Vernon Smith were. They played a different game. No 3 pt. Jump ball for every tie up. NO shot clock.

Lots of games were in 40s - 50s because no shot clock.
Vernon Smith buried lots of 2 pt shots that would have been 3 pt. J Beasley was a lot like Vernon. Big body, great shooter, good rebounder. Wade and B King are great offensive players but didn't have the defensive mindset of Beasley, Sonny P, Joe W.

Shelby's unicorn was a guy named David Harris (I think).
Played 1 yr. Blocked shots like I've never seen before or since. Ronnie Peret and Randy Knowles were rare birds too. Peret did it all, Knowles rained points like Vernon Smith.

Wade has lots of records. Good for him. Records are made to break.
Please don't equate scoring with "best" A T M has produced.

Broussard and B Lennox were way ahead of my time. Both might deserve greater accolades than I can testify too. I can guarantee J Beasley, Sonny P, and Vernon Smith were some of the best ever at TAMU.

Give me this 5 except Elston Turner for Danuel House.

You understand why I put those 5 together, right? I was in no way saying that's the all-time starting 5.

It's not a bad choice. Did you look at Bernard King's FT totals?

The Cash Mcneilly comment got me thinking. Can u make a lineup of guys that were on the roster and supposed to be good but never played a game. Guys like Rob Dockery won't count be a he actually played a game. Did Bryan Beasley ever play in a game? Jermey Adams never did I think.

Because you have no vision. My team would stunt on the all time scorers.

Just for my own curiosity, I did some calculating.

Beasley averaged 21.8 ppg in 73 games. (Freshmen were ineligible and so he only played three varsity seasons.) Total points: 1594

If he had played in 138 games at the same average, he would have scored 3011 points.
