I thought about that but i think its far enough away that i don't think it will dissuade them (817 miles). BTW A&M is 935 miles away. If they have more fans than us there that would be pretty sad. (Although the neutral/locals for sure will break for GC)

What do you mean by upper hand? They've beaten one top 100 team all season (Stanford) and lost to five teams ranked 100+.

I swear - people just make stuff up because they have heard of a school. There is no metric or rating that would give Grand Canyon an edge over A&M. We would likely be 15-20+ point favorites vs them.

Sure, we may lose anyways. We might lose to anyone because it's March Madness. But GCU is not going to have the "upper hand" against us.

I think the casuals don't realize just how good this SEC is. They see a team that got wiped by State and played an awful game against Vandy late and in most years that would be extremely not good.

We've also lost 5 of our last 7 games so I sort of get that people are down on us a little bit.

I don't think you understand. The Ags barely beat the #1 team in the nation two weeks ago (some would say an 11 point win is more a moral victory than an actual victory) while GCU absolutely smashed the #1 overall WAC team in the WAC championship.

GCU clearly has the upper hand in any game they play…

3 games down and all 3 went the way I assumed when this bracket was created so no adjustments needed.

Uab beating Memphis is the only thing that would shift this bracket for me.

Impacts:
It would push Memphis down to an 8, Mizzou up to a 7.
Uab in the bracket as a 14, Xavier loses their spot.
Arkansas would slide back to first four in Dayton.

im tired of you people acting like you've seen a majority of the games and comprehend the style and X's and O's of teams that projected to be a 13 and 14 seed… y'all are scared little babies. The number one overall sees couldn't handle our physicality, I don't think a team with one or two guys over 6'7 are going to be able to handle our defense and work on the glass… it's March Madness can you all stop crying and try to enjoy it for a single second

They do play fast, yes. Their coach Bryce Drew was the Vandy coach prior to Stackhouse.

But their tempo is interesting because they don't shoot many threes at all. Normally I'd imagine tempo and three point rate are correlated but they're in the 300s in 3pt rate.

I would gladly take the OP's bracket for chances to get to Sweet Sixteen.

You are going to have to play a decently tough team starting in the Second Round no matter what, so Clemson would be as good as any if that was the matchup. Granted, I've only watched one Clemson game this year but it was when they Lost @ South Carolina, so that might be clouding my judgment a bit on them.

Presumably we'd be projected to get about 20 offensive rebounds against them.

I am revising my seed list with one final scrub and moving Grand Canyon up 1 spot which moves them up to a 13 and Lipscomb down to a 14.

I now have us playing Robert Morris, will post a new bracket at the conclusion on the Memphis game.
