Yeah it's one thing if you're playing great and have a bad game and see that stuff, its probably easier to shrug off but when you're struggling and then getting that stuff on top of it I'm sure it really is hard

Alright I guess I'm in the wrong. I guess I should be happy that a kid who puts on our uniform and gets paid by our boosters used the biggest platform he's ever had (provided by our school and local media) to claim our fanbase has threatened to kill him and called him racial slurs. Gig 'Em Jace!

I totally agree there's a huge segment of our fanbase that goes a little overboard, frustrated that we never win anything, blowing off steam and directing it in a lot of the wrong places

Some of you seem confused. He is saying he has been getting these messages, not that all of us are sending them. There is no reason anyone on this thread shoukd be mad unless you feel guilty for some reason.

We've got a platform with 6.3 million followers and Dave Portnoy with over 3.5 million followers openly calling Hefner a piece of ***** There's nooooo way anyone would message Jace anything racist or threatening.
Again, a degenerate gambler not part of our fanbase. If he had said twitter trolls, I wouldn't have thought much of it. But he clarified our fanbase. That's a ridiculous claim.
Any athlete paying attention to anything said about them online has a lot of learning to do.

I'm happy for Jace and his big game last night! He seems like a good kid, and I hate to hear how ugly people can be. Sounds like he has handled it well, which is what you have to do to succeed.
